I love this shaving cream. The smell is pleasant and subtle, and it lathers up easily with a good shaving brush. The lather is about the finest I've used in my time as a wet shaver. I bought it at Bath & Body Works at a local mall for $5. Used properly even this small tube will last for a good long while. I've been shaving with the one I have for upwards of two months. I'm in disbeleif, however, to see the same product in the same size retailing for twice what I paid plus shipping.
A little history for you fine folks- C.O. Bigelow Shaving Cream is just a re-brand of Proraso, and Italian shaving cream. They're identical in smell, lather, performance and chemical composition.
A 5.2oz Proraso shaving cream can be had on Amazon.com for $11, there's no reason to pay $12 for 1oz of this stuff.

This is BY FAR the best shave cream I have ever used. Worth every penny. It helps give the most incredible shaves.

This is a great shaving cream - for a bargain! I previously used Cremo Cream for shaving (with a cartridge razor) and was looking for something that provided as close of a shave without leaving a slick, oily residue after rinsing. This product (which is made by Proraso) provides a great shave and rinses cleanly. Moreover, the eucalyptus and menthol provide a great scent and cooling effect that energizes your skin. Proraso has been a classic for years with good reason. Haven't yet tried this with a brush, but will soon do so.

It's the same as Proraso, in fact it's made for Bigelow (Bath & Body Works) by Proraso in Italy. I buy mine at a local Bath & Body Works for $10 - a tube lasts about 3 months. The only downside is that I need to actually go into Bath & Body Works. The odors in those stores is simply overpowering, and it's hard to feel too manly when surrounded with all those other froo froo womanly items.
But, it's worth it - I typically shave every day in the shower. I first apply some Noxzema cleanser, rub that into my face, then put the Proraso shave cream right on top of the Noxzema. There's something about that mixture that gives me a great shave - I work it until I'm baby bottom soft.
Top that off with some Geo. Trumper after shave, and that's about as good as it gets.

As of right now this is my favorite shave cream that I am using. It is very similar to the Proraso Classic Shaving Cream With Eucalyptus Oil & Menthol which I also like. They basically smell the same but I find that this product provides a bit more lubrication. This really helps achieve a smooth shave and smells quite nice.
